I build products end to end, from the message queue to the UI.

I'm Paul-Lukas Kovacic, a Full-Stack Software Engineer with 5+ years of experience. I'm currently a Backend Engineer at AURENA Tech. Before that I spent five years at Bitmovin, where I grew from junior to software engineer.

On the backend I work in Kotlin and Java on the Spring Framework, and in TypeScript with Fastify and GraphQL. Kafka and RabbitMQ handle messaging, PostgreSQL and MySQL hold the data, and Docker and Kubernetes ship it. I care about software design: clear service boundaries, APIs that are pleasant to consume, and code the next person can change with confidence.

On the frontend I build with React and TypeScript, using Next.js, Tailwind CSS and Mantine. That covers the dashboards and tools that sit on top of those services, a few of which you can try right here.
